DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 2 (Two) Seth Thomas Marine: (1) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., for U.S. Navy, "Mark I- Deck Clock", 8 day, time only, spring-driven rear-wind movement in a black phenolic case with a hinged bezel, 6 inch black dial with white Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds, and white spade hands, dated 1942. (2) Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., deck clock, 8 day, time only, twin spring-driven movement in a black phenolic case with a hinged bezel, 6 inch black dial with white Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds, and white spade hands.
CONDITION:
(1) Black phenoic case has a bit of the typical mottling. Luminous paint on hands and hour marks has darkened. The clock retains its original rear mounting plate. Movement was fitted with an electric wire that has been cut. Movement ticks briskly, but was not tested long term. (2) Case is dirty. Bezel was repainted black some time ago. Luminous paint has darkened. Movement runs, but was not tested long term. Dimensions are for the Mark I Deck Clock. Sold "as is ".
